#DCDOUG: Collins’ Record of Ethical Red Flags
October 5, 2020
From multiple ethics complaints from members of both parties to his freewheeling spending of taxpayer money, Collins has a long history of sidestepping ethics
ATLANTA — Today, the Democratic Party of Georgia is rolling out the latest addition to DCDoug.com focused on Congressman Doug Collins’ track record of skirting ethics rules when it suits him as he’s tried to climb the political ladder to higher office.
Collins has faced multiple ethics complaints from members of both parties over improper use of House floor footage in campaign ads. And the so-called fiscal conservative has also spent thousands of taxpayer dollars on travel and his longtime political consultant’s firm while his Senate campaign committed an “ethics no-no” when it “directly copied” language from his official congressional website.
“Throughout his many years in the DC swamp, Congressman Doug Collins has amassed a long list of ethical red flags,” said Alex Floyd, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “His history of improperly using taxpayer-funded resources for political purposes is exactly what Georgians can’t stand about Washington politicians like himself.”
