#DCDOUG: Collins’ History of Standing Against Georgia Women

October 3, 2020

Collins has fallen out of step with Georgia voters, continuously standing against reproductive freedom for Georgians

ATLANTA — Today, on the anniversary of Congressman Doug Collins’ vote to chip away at reproductive freedom, the Democratic Party of Georgia is rolling out a new addition to DCDoug.com focused on Congressman Doug Collins’ history of standing against Georgia women — and Georgia voters who support critical issues like reproductive freedom.

Throughout his long political career, Collins has repeatedly pushed his political agenda onto Georgia women. Collins is far out of step with Georgia voters, fighting against reproductive freedom and opposing the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act in Congress. And he’s repeatedly attacked the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in Roe v. Wade, which he “would like to see” overturned.

“Rather than listening to Georgia women and the millions of voters who support reproductive freedom, Congressman Doug Collins has sided with right-wing special interests in Washington again and again on these critical issues,” said Alex Floyd, spokesman for the Democratic Party of Georgia. “Now more than ever, with crucial decisions for Georgia women like Roe v. Wade on the line, the last thing Georgia women need is a politician like Collins pushing his agenda on them from Washington.”
